MAINTENANCE PAYMENTS REVIEW

The Argo investigative agency regularly conducts investigations for determining maintenance payments and forreviewing them. The aim of our investigation is to gather evidence needed in court to demonstrate the actual financial status of the former spouse.
Article 156 of the Italian Civil Code states that the judge pronouncing the separation establishes, for the benefit of the spouse who was deemed blameless in the separation, the right to receive sufficient maintenance payments from the other spouse, insofar as they are necessary for their maintenance, in cases where their own income is insufficient.

Argo performs such investigations in order to:

• Ascertain the actual employment situation of the former spouse
• Document the standard of living of the former spouse
• Document the financial status of the former spouse
• Prove any cohabitation

Such tests will ascertain any change in the spouse’s financial situation, compared to the original separation judgement.
At the conclusion of the investigative process, we will produce a technical report supported by photo and/or video evidence that is admissible in court, and if the court deems it appropriate, our detectives will confirm the contents of the report, through cross-examination at the relevant location.
